Saddlebag speaker lids 2010
« on: November 02, 2011, 11:23:41 PM »

I'm thinking of the J&M saddlebag speaker lids. Anyone have them? Let me know what you think. I have the J&M fairing speakers and really like them. I was going to do lower fairing speakers. But Harley wants $830 for lowers, then different crash bars, speakers, and amp. That's too much. Anyway give me some info and pis?

hey thats me .. LOL .. yep I really like em .... so different to have a mc system that has some bass in it as well as ya can acyually hear it goin down the road .. altho that cant be attributed to the lid speakers .. more so cause the 7.25" in fairing and lowers and the amp to push em .. Im happy.. :cucumber: :coolblue:

I went with the HD solution... the lids are nicely done, the speakers have covers underneath to protect them, the angle is such that it directs the sound to you better than if you had speakersin the tour*pak...

I am waiting on the lids to arrive to have them painted to match and do the install.

Did you have a hard time color matching the lids? I'm assuming you are using the j m 4 channel amp.

HD will only sell you paint in touch up kits...you will have to match--or get someone to match the paint for you.

Some good resources....http://www.bigfatys.com/ and http://www.gcpaint.com/
