full sac head pipes, can you buy black heat shields?
« on: November 14, 2011, 01:07:22 PM »

I am thinking I may want to go with a black exahust on my bike...just thinking at this point.  I have the full sac X-pipe with the full sac 2.0 cores in the stock mufflers.  If I can't find black heat shields, I may consider getting the black Fat Cat set up?

;D  After all the reviews, people on the site feel that it would be a mistake giving up the full sac X pipe.  I guess I need to start thinking about which CANS come in black and have the sound I want.  I had Rineharts on my last bike and I liked them, but a guy had a CFR sound clip on the site, and those were in my opinion the best sound that i've ever heard, but i don't think they make the muffler in black?

To hell with performance, that is absolutely the best sounding pipe period!  Now I've heard or read that it's very difficult to tune that exhaust because it's so wide open....is that true.  What tuner to you run on your bike and have you had any issues?  I was thinking of keeping my full-sac head pipes, buying the HD black heat shields and running the CFR's in black on my bike.  I have the TTS ECM?
