Aren't we talking about a softail convertable???  There would be no need to unplug the headlight?? Or am I wrong?? Protecting the passing lamps and unplugging the headlight sounds like a batwing fairing bike....
OOPS, my bad didn't see the convertable part.

Fairing came off without a hitch last night.  I was pulling correctly but pushing on the flexible side panels (in black), which did not give me enough leverage.  When I moved my lower hand to the painted surface right next to the headlight, it popped off quite easily.  As I suspected the power wire was not routed at all near the headlight.  The "male" plug I did find a couple of days ago behind the nacelle had two large white circles on it.  This was not part of the amp connection.  It must be a sensor of some sort.  Now I know how to put it all together.

My only grievance is the stock pipes suck on this thing.  I can tell the bike wants to breathe more, but cannot.
