Hi all, I'd like to install my chopped tour pak on a solo tour pak rack and wonder if anyone has had any problems like the ones in the thread below? Am wondering because of the year of the thread, 2009, if maybe the rack has been engineered to not cut into the paint. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The original solo tour pack rack for 2009 was changed after that issue.  The new design works better but it is still easy to hit the paint if your not careful.  I ran one of the new ones on my 09 for 3 years.  I just put a micro fiber cloth under each docking point on the fender to make sure if I slipped I would not get paint.  Never did scratch it.

I will be using the solo tour pack rack on my 12.
