If there are others (like me) that are wondering who/what "SCMA" is it is - Southern California Motorcycling Association and the event in question is - 37th Annual Three Flags Classic Tour 2012.

I have been both a member and have done 3 flags in the past, also a close friend is the web site moderator and planned last year's ride. The ride takes place over the labor day holiday weekend, is a checkpoint/timed loosely routed on your own type ride that starts or ends at selected hotels either in Canada or Mexico, depending on if they decide to ride north or south thru USA. Hence the name 3 flags. Also, participants are selected by lottery and is usually restricted to about 250 bikes, ridden single or 2 up.
