Removing SERT
« on: December 24, 2011, 02:45:41 AM »

Guys, I am planning to switch from SEPRT to Fuel Pack. I would like to know if anyone actually removed the SEPRT without going to the steeler? Any instructions?

There is no removing the race tuner per se. What you are asking to do is to return the ECM to the stock configuration.  The only way to do that is to have a dealer reload the stock map to the ECM.  It is a no charge map but the dealers typically get a half hour labor to reload the map.

I'm somewhat confused; why would you want to use a Fuel Pak instead of a real tuning device that you already have?  The Fuel Pak has no where near the capabilities of the SEPST.  Perhaps what you really need is to find someone qualified to use your SEPST to set the bike up the way you want it. :confused5:

If you want to go back to the stock map, you will most likely have to pay your dealer whatever he charges to hook your bike up to the Digital Technician so he can load the stock map back into the ECM.

Fuel Pak is pretty much useless in closed loop operation, as already stated your much better off with a tuned SERPT.

More than likely there are no "known good tuners" in Cairo Egypt! :(
