Zumo 665 Handle Bar Clamp mount
« on: December 28, 2011, 03:48:22 PM »

Does anyone know if there is an available GPS mounting bracket that attaches the Zumo GPS to the handle bar clamp utilizing existing clamp bracket bolt pattern.  I'd like to mount my Zumo centered on the bike.

thanks,
Dan

I am not sure what you are trying to do but Ram Mount should have what you are looking for. Give them a call if you are unsure about the bolt configuration and you GPS.

There is a great mount in the HD parts catalog. I used it on my CVO Softail Conv.  It's chrome and attaches to the hand controls on either side. I've got mine mounted on the brake side so it turns down but am getting ready to switch it to the clutch side so it raises the GPS a little higher into line of site. It may need a minor grinding on the inside of the mount but it looks nicer than any RAM mount.  I'll try to post a picture soon.

Thanks.  I think I may have the same HD mount bracket.  What I was hoping to find was an aftermarket product that would mount the Zumo centered on the handle bars at the handle bar clamp location (with longer replacement bolts, etc.)

Handlebar clamp is covered by the clamp/nacelle cover.  With the cover in place there isn't direct access to the center clamp.  You intending to lose the cover, put holes through the cover for the GPS mount or use a mount that actually attaches to the cover like many of the old tach mounts did?
