Welcome to the site from Southern Ontario, Canada   :pepper: :pepper: :pepper:

I had trouble with mine a couple of years ago... it turned out to be the Speed sensor.  I replaced it and had no problems since.  Worth looking into  :nixweiss:

You didn't say if the red indicator light not coming on was the only issue or if that is part of a larger problem of the cruise control not working?  Makes a difference in what I'd suspect for problems.

Mine was the vehicle speed sensor. But my speedo was not working either so it was pretty easy to identify the problem. It was easy to change; remove the starter and it is right below the starter (at least on mine).

I had a problem with the brake light switch.  I screwed it up when changing out the handle. The cruise control wouldn't work and the brake light stayed on all the time.
