New product: Banshee Horn (Wanna be heard - here it is!)
« on: January 19, 2012, 02:24:32 PM »

I've been wanting a louder horn, and this looks to be a great product, provided it is easy to install and doesn't mess up the clean looks of our bikes.  I do not know Peter, but it appears he's come up with a great solution for those emergency situations we all encounter when riding.

I'm going to order one right away and report on installation and quality, once received and installed.

Let's see how it goes.  8)

It will be nice to see how it looks. The picture on the web site in my opinion will not look so good on the bike.

That looks like the Stebel horn that's been on the market for a long time.  They've added an inexpensive switch kit to an existing product and raised the price a fair bit.

It says it retains the regular horn for normal use and then adds this louder horn. Where are you mounting the additional horn or is the one in the pic doing double duty???

Coould use it either way.   The entire unit won't fit under the horn cover but you can cut the bellows off and glue it inside the horn cover.  Then mount the compressor in the hole in front of the battery.

Ken, if it does come apart like the Stebel it can be mounted like Don says. Per a thread of his awhile back I mounted the Stebel under a heart shaped cover (in place of the cow bell) on melanie's bike. IMHO that's the best way to do it. I did have to do some cutting, but it's very simple. I also installed one on her DL and just orderded one for my DL. Roger
