Biggest problem here in UK and mainland Europe is when there's a roundabout (I know, you don't have many of those in NA) near a fuel station.  Van drivers (dunno what you call Vans? Don't think your Minivan is the same, could be wrong though) are the worst. Fill to the brim, and as they go round the nearby roundabout, out spills the diesel.  I too have a small circle in the middle of my seat, where the material was sucked upwards because of one of the sideways moments!  ;)

And people ask me all the time:  "I think I'd like to ride motorcycles, if you ride safely, can you ride without falling?"  .....  My answer these days is usually: "For awhile."   spyder

this is how I navigated thru diesel spill ONCE (only time also)..
this can only work if your going straight.....

1. once you lose traction, the rear wheel starts to slide back and forth....sit up on the tank as far as possible, two things you will be doing.... a. weighting the forks  b. giving yourself a better chance to maneuver the bike out of the diesel....SLOWLY!!! It will feel like forever but you will ride out of it.

on a corner, you're screwed....once the bike starts going down, ride out the fall/slide on top of the bike, on the side of the seat, tank, motor etc...... let the bike take all the DAMAGED

Two up????? have her stay seated...keep her legs tight against the bike...the crash bars have a better chance at saving her...

if you're solo and do maneuver safely....make a quick stop at your local store to buy new underwear...
