just put them on yesterday.  ride seems smoother and quieter.  no corner noise anymore. grip in corners seems great. will update after a few thousand miles.

:o :o :o

I was told the Traxxions require more frequent service from Traxxion and they strongly recommended sending them to Traxxion.  Didn't investigate any more.  My Buddy who has Traxxions sent them back.  Took about a week.

But if that is not an issue then I stand corrected.

American Elite are a model series of Dunlop tires :nixweiss: ?

Currently discussed in another thread (click here so as not to hijack this thread on the Dunlop tires: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=70778.msg978907#msg978907 ) is Diamondback's suggestion of greater service needs for the Traxxion Dynamics front suspension.

still smooth and quiet, the bike seems more stable at speed and over rough patches or grooved pavement, seems to track better overall

yes they are a Dunlop tire, however the tread pattern is significantly different from stock and so far feels better than even when the stock tires were new.

I have the American Elite tires on my Limited, The rear tire now has just over 24,000 miles, still not worried as tread has more wear to go. Front tire has about 17,000 miles, plenty of tread to go.. My tires aren't quiet, but not as noisy as the 407's & 408's.. Not much difference in handling or tracking for me.. I believe I'll get more miles out of these A.E. than original tires..  My next tire I may try is the New Commander ll .

I had them on my 2009 and loved them. They will go on the 2012 when I need tires.

I have been using Metzler tires for years and maybe its time for a change, Does anyone have significant mileage on the Dunlap Elite tire and if so, how does this tire compare to the Metzler ME 880 for ride, traction and tracking on the rain grooved freeways of So. California

had metzlers on an earlier bike.  handled great but not as good as the Dunlop's for treadwear.

For my 2009 SERG, I run 180/55B-18 rear and 130/70B-18 front- don't you guys with the other 2009 CVO's run the same sizes?

If so, I don't get it, because Dunlop doesn't make the American Elite in those sizes???

The other guys posting are running E-glides with the 16 inch wheels.  The SESG's and the Road Glides with the 18" or 19" rims are the ones that don't have alternative tires (yet).
