First of all let me say this, "Forthcoming" did not mean that a reread of the experiences of
others were in order.  If you will notice the time in which I made my last remark was shortly
after 6 am in the morning when I was due at the local "Food Bank" where I devote only @10
hours a week, and other members devote much more than that for a great cause.  The pay
is not that great, but the rewards are outstanding !

That being said:

"Shortdog",

Based on your experience's, I would say that your bike has exceptional statistics.

It seems that some of us are not that familiar with CVO's in the 2007 model year. SO:

1) my bike has approximately 1803 cc's which is by H-D's calculations 110 CI's.

2) All heavy bikes for H-D in 2007 came with a 6-speed "Cruise Drive" transmission.

3) I do not have a heavy breather, which does not effect the gearing.

4) You said you did a road test to come up with your report.  This tells me that you
have experienced this phenomenon only once to do your report.

5) There are several types of riders and H-D offers several types of classifications for
the bikes they offer, let alone thousands of combinations to personalize those rides.
Looking at your avatar, I would think that you are a "Profiler", much more than my-
self, because you have "Hangers" for handle bars.  Which leads me to believe that
top end or even sprints are not of your interest. On the other hand, I have kept the
original handle bars which I consider are more like a stylish "Drag bar".  I have kept
the Original creation for reasons, which seems to be much different than the type
of riding in which you are interested in.

6)  Based on what I can compare here, we both have fairly stock engines, which is where
we can make a fairly close comparison.

My analogy:

The next time if ever, you decide to repeat this Test in 4th gear, 5000 rpm's, at a
steady 102 mph, shift up once, back off on the throttle to a safe speed, carefully look
down below the speedo to see if a little blue light is on !

I'll be Right Here.......J
