I personally dont think the black would look good on your citrus. Have you looked into the "Black Chrome" that might be the ticket for your bike. Just a thought.
I had black chrome on my '10 SE fatbob and liked it. I think it would be quite a bite more costly to rechrome parts, than buy black and sell the chrome. Plus, no one offers black chrome exhaust and accessory choices are minimal.
Blacking out an orange and BROWN bike does not make sense to me at all. I would think it would look rather odd... a jumble of orange, brown, and black.
Again, I had the pewter/sandstone grind Fatbob, which had chrome, black chrome, brown leather, with pewter and brown paint. It worked. Who would have thought that brown, blue and red would make a good uniform, but Marines do it every day.
Also, are you planning on having the engine and tranny powder-coated black?

I think the granite and black engine would work really well together, just like the slate and black paint. But until it gets put together, no one knows how it will look.
My logic is that black, whether gloss, flat, or chromed, is just as capable of filling in around paint as regular chrome. Its not like I'm painting all the chrome stuff blue, that would be odd.
