Forget the worthless factory gps and put a garmin on it. The price of the CD,s would be more than the Harmon Kardon gps is worth, IMO.   The original owner probably gave the original CD's to the dog to play with.

Have to agree with 2harleys. The HK GPS is junk.

Harley obsoleted the system when it was still young.  That means the publisher never produced updates.  So any map disks you'd find are old, outdated and will never be made current.  Even when it worked it was lame in comparison to any other display type GPS.

We agree.
Not so bad in well established areas or major roadways. But new construction or more rural back roads may have some holes.

Very nice of the people of Iron Cross (excellent company) to give you the disc's at NO CHARGE ------- And what is even nicer, is that you are getting them for EXACTLY what they are worth. LOL :2vrolijk_21:

Like the OP, I too want my bike whole. If I have a switch that I never use that does not work, I fix it.  I just like everything to work as it came from the factory, even if that is somewhat poorly.  In either case it was a nice gesture from Iron Cross to offer the disks.  Does anyone know what the latest or last map disk update was.  I have version 2 for my 08 SEEG.  Maybe we could see who has the latest update and at least be able to upgrade to the LAST map prior to obsolescence.  Has anyone tried to talk with NAVTEQ. They actually supply the mapping for the disks.

Version 2 was the last update.
Navteq will not help.
The discs for that unit are proprietary to the HD and as such, they could not produce them for you if they wanted too.
