Have wondered why that's so though.  Corbin definitely lists them that way.   But Mother Harley shows seat fitments as interchangeable 2008 and newer.

That's an obvious difference.  But Harley does show fitment for touring seats as 08 and up rather than 09 and up for most of their saddles.

Also, there might be a gap issue since the tank console on the SESG will be different than the standard FLHX console.  Just a guess... :nixweiss:

That     may be correct...but it does not explain why HD says 08 and up and Corbin has different #'s listed for 08 and 09. The SESG was not an 08 or 09 model.....

Some of the limited application models Corbin doesn't always completely nail down.  They've always listed the 07 SERK completely separate from the 02 and 03 as well despite all three bikes having the same dash.  Some of our CVO limited series stuff can be hard for a third party to completely master.

it was definitely the change in the frame. I got one of the first in 09 and i had one from an 06 bike and it didn't fit.

The big '08 change was the 6-gallon fuel tank, I think. That changed the front hook point. I think that's why the H-D seats fit '08-up - for the new gas tank geometry.

But Corbin makes rigid pans that fit the frame like a steel glove... the seat on my bike doesn't have any gaps between the frame and the pan at all. Maybe their '09-up seats won't fit an '08 because of the '09 frame change. I suggest you call them and ask...
