2011 SERGU Roadtech & MP3 Player question?
« on: March 22, 2012, 03:39:02 PM »

Hi,

can you play MP3 using the Roadtech or Zuma 660 on the 11 SERGU?  on my 2010, when the IPOD wasn't hooked up, it defauted to AUX and you could use the MP3 player on the 660.  How do you do this, or can you do this on the 11 SERGU the way it's hardwired in the system?

I Know!! I can't believe that HD didn't integrate the 660 into the stereo system.  The only way to play the MP3's from the 660 is to run a jack between the 660 and the AUX input on the front of the radio head unit.  Just a little info that made my day however....I have a HTC EVO smart phone which I have tons of music on.  I purchased a Bluetooth receiver that is non obtrusive and plugs directly into the AUX input.  From there I play MP3 music wirelessly from my phone to the stereo.  Works absolutely awesome!!!

The device is called a bluebridge Mini Jack and can be found on amazon and ebay.

You got it Nick.  Its an awesome setup.  You can start your play-list and put your phone back in its belt case.  No worries about loosing your phone or manipulating it while riding.  Just make sure you keep the Bluebridge charged which you can also do on your bike in the trunk while you stop for a beer.

I had noticed that the Mp3 player/aux plug set up on my 2010 seemed to play louder and clearer than the Ipod intigration HD came up with?  I've notice satellite radio plays louder too!
