103 RK, I wouldn't use washers, but I don't know that they wouldn't work. I'd just be afraid that they might cause some undue stress on the pulley or hub. Put the tire on and mount the wheel on the bike just to check clearance and you might find you don't need anything at all.

Go for it 103RK. I mounted a Metzler 140mm and every thing cleared OK.

To update this post. I bought the tire on ebay and had it mounted on my wheel. I did the install and everything is OK. The belt guard rubbed a little, so I drilled the mounting hole larger and moved it over slightly.

I just installed ME880 140 on my 03. It fits fine and looks alot better. I was jellous of my wifes stock 150 on her Sportster. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Had the MU85B16 installed a couple weeks ago at the dealer.
No problems at all.
