I own a 2012 CVO Road Glide with the weather band feature on the radio.

The manual tells me to highlight the, "Alert Indication," mode in the WB and then press a soft key to turn it on.

When I go to the WB on the radio there is no, "Alert Indication," on the screen to turn on.

Any thoughts on my problem?

there may have to be an alert issued to see the icon.not sure just thinking that the alert would need to be issued before you could listen.

The alert text shows up by the "1" soft key all the time while in the weather band. Pressing 1 toggles the alert function on and off. When it's on the alert text is highlighted, surrounded by black, and when it's off it's simply black text. If you don't see the word "alert" by the 1 key something is wrong..... 

You should hear the weather broadcast all the time when in the weather band mode. It's only when you are on another band or source the alert function will work if it's turned on. One disadvantage of this feature is as you travel from area to area the weather radio will not automatically scan to the next WB frequency, there are seven. You have to go to the WB and force it to scan and find the next channel in range......

Thanks for the info.  It looks like I have a problem with my WB alert function.  I'll have it checked out next service.
