Chrome Chisel Wheels
« on: April 22, 2012, 02:16:07 PM »

I just love my Yellow Jacket and especially the looks of the chrome Chisel Wheels. When I first saw them on my scooter I thought they would be easy to clean. Wrong! They are a pain to get in all the nooks and cranny's! Anyone else notice this. The Thunderstars on my Nana spoiled me. Oh well, guess a little more work won't hurt anybody. Sure looks pretty when all that chrome is sparkling...especially them wheels! :2vrolijk_21:

I use it on my cage as well.  The stick thing lets you get all the way to the inside of the wheel, between the spokes, and the little finger mitts really let you get to the tight places without busting your knuckles.  Their tire cleaner and rubber/vinyl conditioner works well too.  Gives that "new rubber" look, without the shiney look that most other products do.

I will have to say that Griot's Garage products are top notch and work exactly as advertised.  After trying a couple of their products, I've got a bunch of their stuff now:  Speed Wash; Speed Shine; Tire Cleaner; Window Cleaner; Car Wash; Wash Bucket; microfiber mitts; Chrome Wheel Cleaner and mitts/sticks; Rubber/Vinyl treatment; Leather Treatment; Interior Cleaner; all associated/recommended cloths for each product.  Their cloths really are different than any other's I've tried, and those microfiber mitts are THE ticket.  I still use my Glare products for when I need to polish/seal the paint, but the Griot's stuff keeps everything looking good the rest of the time.  The stuff is kinda' pricey, but if you buy the "kit" versions of things, and catch the sales, it's not too bad.  And a little product goes a long way, from my experience.

I use this http://www.pimpstixxx.com/product.htm with a terry cloth and makes cleaning the wheels a lot easier.  The aluminum rods have a thick plastic coating on them so you don't have to worry about scratching your paint with the rod.
