2012 FLHXSE3 Seat Question
« on: April 17, 2012, 11:21:22 PM »

I want to remove my passenger pillion and run just with the solo. My question is there a better looking fix so you don't have to see the hardware sticking up on the back of the seat where the pillion connects to the solo?

HarlyFan:  I have run with the solo saddle 90% of the time & initially had the same question but 12CVOSG is spot on--just slightly stretch/pull the rear flap of the seat over the 2 vertical bolt studs/nuts and eventually after you put a few miles on the solo the leather will "conform" & you won't see the hardware again.  I'm working towards the real solution which is to get rid of the crappy CVO seat altogether & replace it with a quality Corbin Hollywood Solo...   :bananarock:

I took the passenger seat off upon pick-up.  The chrome spears on the back fender are really a cool look.   The seat flap does do the trick to hide the hardware.   I added a chopped tour pack and left off the passenger pad; put some black rubber plugs in the pad holes and that did the trick for a minimal look.

Take a look at the C & C seats. For me good quality finish and comfortable. Company easy to deal with and pretty quick shipping times to the UK.
