Black dissipates heat faster than chrome.   :nixweiss:

I don't care chrome or black, put it somewhere that you can get too and not get oil everywhere   :coolblue:

The oil filter on my 82 Shovel was mounted vertically and under the back of the engine. No fuss - no muss
