Jack-knife Highway pegs, Like or Dislike???
« on: June 26, 2012, 06:39:25 PM »

Hello,

Thinking of removing my engine guard and my highway pegs.  If I do this, I want to be able to stretch out a little bit.  How do you guys like the jack-knife highway floorboards?  I am thinking of doing this, because I like the clean look of not having an engine guard.

Thanks,

Glide Boy

I looked at the website and think they are fine.  You don't need to remove your engine guard....  With an 850 pound bike, I'd think hard about that.  I went with the Kuryakyn version and love them.  Very comfortable position.  See here:  Cleaner Location for Highway Pegs?  I got some negative feedback but they work for me.  Do it if you like them!   :2vrolijk_21:

I rode a friends bike with these, no pratical use that I could see. They are to far to the rear to allow any "stretching" out. I tried his as I was going to buy them, he agreed with me, total waste of money and time to install them.

Be careful when cornering with them extended. Lean angle will be diminished.
