It only takes a few seconds of stupid for a lifetime of pain.

Anybody recognize this location? I was thinking "Tail of The Dragon".

I am 99% confident you are correct. I trust he was without injury.

Looks like the Dragon to me too. Good reminder of what not to do in a turn. I learned about the back brake the hard way on our ride back from Dillard last year. Did not loose the bike but it sure woke me up.

Hate to come down on both sides of this story but my thoughts are as follows

There are risks and costs to a program of action.  But they are far less than the long range risks and costs of comfortable inaction.

Some parts of the Parkway do look similar to this, but just didn't recognize this as being part of it. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Man, that guy was possibly an inexperienced rider.  Looked to me like he had the room to make that pass, but panicked.  The second Bike did almost follow him off the road!  I'd say he was hurt pretty bad.  Bet that Bike received additional damage, being retrieved.  That was bad. :'(  Later--HUBBARD

Second biker appears to be a classic case of bike going where you are looking. I would bet that he was watching his friend go over the embankment and his bike just went where he was looking. :(

Sometimes it's hard not to watch the train wreck but lesson's clearly ride your OWN ride.
