Mike,
I have the same setup on my 12 SESG only difference is I went with the Dresser Duals first then added the High Output slip ons a week later.
Bike ran fine after the header switch out but once I installed the slip ons the major problem was starting from a cold start. The bike would rev up to around 2K rpms then would drop below 1K and die. I would have to keep twisting the throttle to keep the rpms up. This is due to the fact that you will be losing back pressure due to the openness of this set up as well as the fact that you will be running lean.
Your going to want to look at some sort of fuel management or tuner. I went around to a few different dealers here and of course they suggested the SEPRT (Screaming Eagle Pro Race Tuner) and a few hours on the dyno to tune it correctly. Cost from the quotes I got were all around $900.00.
I may end up doing this further down the road but for now I decided to install a Vance & Hines FuelPak. I'm sure you've heard about the other tuners on the site such as the TTS, Pro Vision and Power Commander. I went with V&H since I had one on my previous bike and never had any problems with that bike for close to 28K miles.
I do notice a drop in HP and torque on the low end but I can live with this for now. Bike starts right up now with no dying on a cold start. I'm really not one thats into squeezing every bit of HP I can out of the engine. At least not yet anyhow but have a feeling that will change with time.
Anyway that's my 2 pennies. I'm sure others with more knowledge of this will chime in soon.
