Are there any after market seats available for these yet?
« on: July 05, 2012, 03:20:51 PM »

I have a 2012 and was wondering if anyone was aware of any aftermarket Corbin, La Pera, or mustang seats available for them out on the market?

Take your stock seat and get it fitted to your butt.  Check out rich's custom seats.

At first glance my seat looks stock but it has been completely redone with added foam, gel pads and reshaped to fit my butt.  Rich used the original buffalo inserts and new leather to remake the seat cover.

I got a Mustang Sport Touring and Pillion seat. With a small modification, it fits perfectly and my butt is eternally greatfull ! The problem is the ECU unit which prevents the riders seat from sitting properly. I had to cut a section out of the seat pan (about 50 x 70 mm) and it sits on the rubber stoppers. For the pillion seat to be mounted you have to remove the three strips of plastic trim - use a heat gun and the come off like a dream. The stock pillion seat is good or about 5 miles so if you plan on carrying a pillion, you have to make the change.

If anyone is interested, I can post some photos ...

Love this machine, bit it is far from perfect from the factory !

Corbin has a seat for the 2012.

I called yesterday and they indicated they would not guarantee a fit for the 2012 as it was fitted to a 2010 and 2011 model.  Are you speaking about a specific seat and do you know it will fit?  I sure would like something with a little more scoop in it.  I am getting hot spots on trips as short as 20 minutes.
