My Ipod supplied by Harley crapped out yesterday. My bike warranty is good until 2014 is this covered?

Have you unplugged the IPod then plugged it back in?  That is what I do when my IPod doesn't turn on..

It wouldn't even turn on the screen on the IPOD. I took it in the house and tried on the computer, nothing. Today I tried again and it works, WTF?

I've got an older NANO that will do this once in a while - the first time I thought the IPOD battery died and was ready to take it to an Apple store and have them change the battery out - then it just started working again  :nixweiss:  Now when mine does it I just let it sit on the bookshelf  (unplugged) and check it every now and then until it powers up. Once it comes back to life it will operate fine for months at a time or sometimes longer before it does it again. It's been over a year since the last incident.

As to why it does it, I have no clue.....

Happened to me also last week.   My nano shut of and wouldn't come back on.  I ready to toss it.  The next morning I tried it and it was fine,,,   Who knows...I did leave it in my car all day.  Maybe it was overheated?    :nixweiss:

Mine did this on my 13 SERG.  Ipod just quit and wouldn't turn on.  Took it to the apple store and they reset it.  Hold the power button and down volume button at the same time for I think 7 seconds or until the apple appears.  It is reset now.  Have had to do this 3 times since april.  It sucks when you're on the bike and have to stop to reset it.  I think next time it happens I'm going to take it back and try to get a new one.

How do you reset a Nano? (they have a slider volume control)  Mine is in the down mode and hasn't come to life yet.

if you have the 6th gen nano (the small square one), then the above procedure works.  if you have an earlier version, one of the long thin ones, then use this procedure:

1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
