Sorry, but there is just too many to say "these" are the 10 best.

Very valid points Dave. :2vrolijk_21:  As the ol' sayin goes, "different strokes for different folks".  While my wife prefers the desert rides, I prefer the mountain rides.

While I've been on most of the ten mentioned in the piece, there are a number of roads that I've been on that aren't even mentioned.....a number of them in Colorado and also a number of them here in California.......Yosemite valley, Avenue of The Giants, Hwy. 20 between Willits and Ft. Bragg, etc.

Just got back from a short trip and would have to include Hwy 518 from Taos, NM to Las Vegas, NM (just gorgeous), Highway of Legends in southern CO - http://www.colorado.com/articles/colorado-scenic-byway-highway-legends, and CO 160 from Durango to Del Norte.

Blue Ridge Parkway & Cherohala Skyway!  Put both of them on your bucket list.  I try to get there at least once a year!  Going back in September!

Kooskia, ID to Lolo, MT through the Clearwater National Forest.

Not that I'm all that but I've ridden in 47 states.  If you EVER get a chance to do this one....DO IT.

All time best on my list.  Of course I like 99 miles + of NOTHING MANMADE....'cept the road.  ;D

Heard about this one from a friend who goes to ride it every year. It's on the bucket list.
