I have a set of Vance & Hines Dresser Duals on my work bench in the garage.
First and foremost you must understand I'm running the Vance & Hines Hi-Output Slipons. These are extremely free flowing!!!!!!
With the Dresser Duals the setup was just way too loud. Especially on my right ear becuase the rear cylinder pipe that flows out the right side is significantly shorter than the other.
For now I cut the cat out of my stock header (2-1-2) and it made a hude difference. Much quieter.
For me, the problem is that 2-1-2's don't have that distinctive Harley thump, thump, thump. They tend to sound more like a V-8 sports car, more rumbly if you know what I mean.
When I get a few extra bucks I'm going to buy different slipons and go back to the true duals.
Good Luck! There are Thousands of Options and Zillions of Opinions.
