Quiet(er) Exhaust For 2005 SEEG
« on: August 15, 2012, 11:44:53 AM »

Hoping to get some input for types of quieter exhaust for my 05 SEEG. The 05 SEEG I bought has a Rinehart duel system  Ido not have the stock system to compare to.

I would like a system that is quiter than the Rinehart`s, not so concerned with speed or horse power.

My guess is there will be a lot of riders with the same year and model bike that went to after market exhaust and kept their OEM exhaust. You may be able to pick an OEM exhaust up very reasonable from one of these guys..  Post in the "wanted" section and see who responds.  Or ask if somone with a stock exhaust wants to swap with you....that's what you call a win-win situation.

I still have my original but it is not for sale. I will say that the original was quieter but made the bike seem to run hotter and the bike seemed choked in the higher RPM's. I would look for another option.

I think BUB makes Rinehart, BUB 7 Stealth are a lot quieter than regular 7. I think they'd fit on the Rinehart headers. Just check pipe size before buying anything though. I'm not sure, but the true dual system may be a larger diameter than stock. So stock cans may not fit :nixweiss:, BUB sells 7's in both sizes

Gotta second the Bub stealth 7. Great pleasant lower sound.  I have mine on V&H true duals. I believe that make to fit Rinehart head pipes.

I have the OEM mufflers less the heatshields from my '05 jalapeño for a fair price. Less then 1000 mi on bike when removed.
PM me if interested.

I have the bub7 stealth on my 04.  Love  em.  Great sound and great performance with a good tune.  I have the rinehart head pipes.  The true dual system.  When you order them ask for the 2" inlets. The sales girl I dealt with was Jennifer.  She is very good and very nice.  Thats the way to go.  Stuart.

I'm running Vance & Hines 4" rounds (not ovals) nice sound, legal noise (in canada) and can talk with the old lady with little effort when cruising.
