Hey just bought a 12 CVO Street Glide with 4 point docking kit and detachable painted to match tour pak. Removed the tour pak went to intall the factory backrest that comes with it and the wife and I had to each pull outward on both sides of the seat bracket to get it to slide over the docking points. Anyone seen this before?

Mine fit tight too.  I took it off the bike,  pulled on both sides of the sissy bar, and stretched it.  Now it fits perfect.

I had the same problem on my RG. Very hard to get the sissy bar & lug rack off.

I too had the same problem. If you look the spacers between the mount and the black nylon are too long. I shortened mine on a lathe and everything fits perfect. If you don't have a lathe most HD do and they can do it for you. They are about .080 too long which makes everything bind up.

I was looking at the spacers too and thought I could take them to work and shave them down. Thanks

LOL naw it was a big selling point for me, I had actually just purchased a tour pak for my 2009 Vivid Black FLHX right before I traded.

Between pulling on the sides to stretch them out and spraying the docking points with white lithium grease, I can change between  luggage racks, sissy bars, and the tour pak fairly quickly.

Im going to take the chrome spacers to work and trim about .080 off each so they fit properly
