Has anyone else had the stitching come apart.  Mine just started on the front right side.

Not yet, but it's only about 5 weeks old. :nervous:

WTF?  This is 2012.  Can't they keep seats stitched up, tank badges attached to the tanks, or even stereo amps amplifying? ???

Yep the first seat on my 2010 SEUC had the stitching on the left side of the nose that was pulling apart. Showed it to the dealer and they replaced it with a brand new seat. I had the seat replaced a 3rd time (under warranty) this past Spring because the low and high heat settings were both delivering High Heat. The dealer ordered and installed a brand new seat and it looks great and the separate heat settings work perfect......for now!!. I love the comfort of this seat but its shame it's had to be replaced twice. I do use the heat alot and I have almost 25,000 on the bike.

The stitching on mine split at the right front after about 6 months of use.  Dealer had a new warranty replacement in 5 days...

Had my 2011 seat replaced after 5000 miles.
Got that on the 2012 now with no problems so far, and I am a very heavy rider.
To me this seat seems better then the 2011 also, could be just me though.
We will see what happens.

Stitching was separating along the left side of  nose . Dealer ordered a new one . Took around 10 days for a new  fourteen hundred dollar seat to come in , glad it was under warranty . Anybody know if they are  fixing stitching problem on new seats or are they just sending us new seat with old problem?

My 2011 CVO Road Glide Ultra has one seat replacement already emailed the dealer this morning starting to separate on the right side again same as last time.  Saw photos of the new redesigned seat asked for it specifically.  Unfortunately my pics of the original seat and the new one starting to come apart are not enough I have to take it in to the dealer.  Hopefully I do not get the runaround.

Same kind of issue occurred on the RG seats not too long ago.  Eventually Harley had to redesign the seat slightly to put the seam in a less stressed location if I remember correctly.

I have no idea who they have making their seats these days, but you would think they could design it right the first time to avoid all these issues.  Considering all the BS some of the RG folks mentioned going through back when they were fighting this problem, I'd suggest everyone check their seats closely and get any issues documented right away.  Don't let it go thinking the ESP will fix it once the warranty expires either.  ESP doesn't cover it.

My 2012 stitching tearing at same place.  Checked with HD dealer and the seats were in back order last month.  They had added an (a) to the
end of the part number.  Usually means part has been upgraded.  going to get mine fixed under warranty next month.  New seat is the fix.
