Ok this is a stupid question
« on: September 10, 2012, 08:46:07 PM »

Which of the two lights is the low beam?  It looks like both plugs are the same.  Of course I unplugged them both and when I went to plug them back up I wasnt sure which was which.

Bike with two separate headlights?  So you're talking about a Road Glide?  If so they're both low beam.  And they're both high beam.  Both bulbs are dual function.  If you're talking about a Road Glide the two headlight plugs are interchangeable.

If it's a dual bulb reflector in an Ultra the upper bulb is the low beam.  The lower bulb has the more focused reflector which shoots it farther down the road.

You would think that the Harley shop would know which one is HIGH and which one is LOW...  I took mine to the shop to get the CB module swapped out and tried to get them to just give me the module and let me do it,,, BUT NO it's under extended warranty and they has to have a certified MOCO grease monkey to do it...  Well now my LOW BEAM is in the HIGH hole and the HIGH BEAN is in the LOW hole.  PLUS they broke my housing and duck tape my bulb in to keep it from following out.   :wall: :wall: :beatdeadhorse: :beatdeadhorse:

WELL guess it's time for LED's...

I went out and checked, somehow I got it put back together right.  Normally, I would discover that it is wrong after I get the fairing back on.  All was not lost!  I dropped one of the lower inside fairing screws and looked about 1/2 an hour for it.  Finally gave up and got one of the extras I keep for just such an emergency.  When I took my pants off a couple hours later, the screw falls out of the cuff.

Don't feel bad.....we've all been there.  Somedays if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all, other days I can't do anything wrong....go figure?  :nixweiss:

Well the bright side is they did fix my CB and it only took them 6 years......  :orange: :mango: :bananarock:
The only thing is they tore up other stuff...  :soapbox:
If I take it back for them to fix I will probably be in a nursing / CrAzY home  :dizzy2: when I get my bike back.

So to answer your question        NOOOOooo !

That's nothin... last week I made chicken stirfry with white rice.  When I got changed for bed later that night, I had a couple of white rice grains in my belly button.  WTF?!? :nixweiss:
