Condensation in my HD LED passing light's
« on: September 14, 2012, 10:38:58 PM »

I was wondering if any one had any problems with condensation in there HD LED lights?  Mine are about 6 months old and the passing lamps fog up on the inside after they are on for about 15 min.  Then when I shut the bike off the condensation goes away.  Any ideas on what to do? I am cind of pissed after spending a small fortune on these, they are fogging up like that.

Oh, and what the f----ck is with the heated grips?????   I used them two times and they stopped working!!!!!!  Is there a fix of some kind for the grips.  Please, feed back is welcomed. Cheers.

As for the grips if u have already checked the fuse couldn't say . Like to hear you make

lol, sorry but your handle shows me that you will defiantly wont like the reliability of the Harley heated grips.

I gave up on those years ago after going through 3 sets finding an ideal solution called "Heated Demons" an aftermarket set that work without fail, have had them....omg maybe for 6 years now and they work great, most here agree to just change out and be rid of the aggravation.

(cant help on the led lights sorry)

Same for me and only in the LED Passing lamps but they are Truck Lite (Kuryakyn).
Here the reply from Kuryakyn :

Thank you for your email. There is a breathable membrane on the top of the lights that will allow the moisture to leave the lights when the lights are in use. What you are experiencing is normal and the moisture will leave the lights. Please feel free to call or email me with any other questions.
Thanks and have a great day!

Do you mean I can take the led passing lights apart?  I looked at them out of the pod and they looked like they are sealed completely.  I will check again.  I would love to take them apart and dry them out. Cheers.

Yes, I'm pretty sure they're 'sealed' and not made to be 'serviced'.  That's what I was just told recently.  So far mine haven't presented this problem.  Have you tried to have them replaced under the warranty?  spyder

I got these at Zannoti last year, so I dont think I can replace them under warranty. I am not even sure Zannoti is still around. Can't seem to log on the there web site any more.
