Alternate tires for 11 CVO Roadglide Ultra

I have American Elites now on my 2010 and they are doing a good job..  Too cheap to buy a HD branded tire.  Will try Michelin Commander 2's the next go round.

I just put on a set of American Elites due to the price of the stock HD Dunlops.  Only have a couple hundred miles on the Elites so it is too early to tell how they will wear for me.

I was getting good mileage out of the stock tires so that was not an issue.

I was quoted close to $600 for a stock set of HD Dunlops with supposed free mounting and balancing.

I bought the Elites and saved around $150.

Talked with Dunlop yesterday,  American Elite does not have 18" tires, only the DUnlop 407 in 18", expected release of a front tire American Elite is Jan 13.  The Rep said no date on a rear American Elite in 18".

They make a D417 in the rear size also. I never tried one but they are OEM on a Victory. Most 180/55HB-18 tires are radials.

The load rating on the tire is very important if you use the bike for it's intended purpose...touring.  Whatever tire you choose, just make sure that it's very close to the original rating.

I googled this and found 160/80-16 as OEM for Victory.
Can you show a website?

The Dunlop website only shows one size for the D417, and it is 160/80B16. :nixweiss:  Of course the Dunflop website hasn't been terribly accurate lately.
