Seized Breather Bolt

I bought a Arlen Ness Big Sucker kit and thought it is was going to be a simple install. But rear cylinder breather bolt is seized in cylinder. I have tried heat and tapping but it won't come loose. Anyone have any ideas? If it breaks off can I drill it out without getting shaving in the head? With 26K miles its getting close to new lifter time. Would be easier with the breather out of the way.

If it is truely seized and not just over tightened it will certainly break off the head and you can bet that drilling it out will send chips down the hole and there is no way you  are going to get the remaining steel threads out of the aluminium head without screwing up the threads of the head. If it were me and I'm a toolmaker, I would take it to the shop or check with them so you have options in place first and if you are comfortable, then try soaking some liquid wrench into it and give it a twist with some extra leverage. Take your time between attempts with quick little try's as you have annealed the the bolt and now it is softer than it was and the head will break off easier than before.

In any case drilling it out will make things worse and more expensive and should be avoided if possible.

Thanks King Roadglide for the info. I tried liquid wrench once but I'll try it again. Then I guess its off to the shop.

Throw away the Liquid Wrench, PB Blaster and WD40.

Kroil 2, 3 times a day for 3 days.  Tried all of the above on a '41 Allis Chalmers.  Nada.  The Kroil worked.  Different "seized" bolts by the way.  Wasn't like this was a cumulative effort.  SOLD on the Kroil.  But, you probably need to NOT burn it away by heating it up.
