Gps 665 and listening to XM?
« on: September 23, 2012, 12:17:14 PM »

All,
I just bought a Zumo 665 and have read through instructions as.  Unless you have Bluetooth device you can't listen to music via speakers on bike?  Did I miss something?  Can someone fill me in?

The 665 has to be plugged in to the aux port on the front of the HK receiver.  Then switch the stereo to AUX and you should hear XM, first have to subscribe and activate.

If you search, there ae a couple of threads on how to install thru the back of the head unit (with the NIM) so you dont have to run the cable. Mine is set up that way and I love it and listen to the XM around 75% of the time.

I read those threads too.  It would be better to hook it up that way.  I'm just really getting tired of removing the farring.  It's getting pretty crowded in there.

To make it even more crowded, I also installed an inline booster so the XM would be at the same volume as the Ipod...
It never ends...
