Vance & Hines fuelpak for 110 CVO

What does everyone think about the V&H Fuelpak?

I just saw American Thunder and they added one to their project bike. It looked pretty easy, within my mechanical abilities.  I'm sure the SERT or PCIII would be better for serious upgrades, but as I'm only changing the air filter and exhaust on my 09 SERG would this work?

Will it work?  If you are OK with "close enough for horseshoes"...yes.  If you want the bike properly tuned, do the PCIII or SERT...or equivalent.  Just my opinion, but to do otherwise is a waste of money.

I ran one for about 5000 miles on my bike.  It worked reasonably well and it did cool the engine down some.  I didn't notice any performance improvement from the Fuelpak.  The side effect it had was that the cruise control would not let you bump the speed up or down and sometimes it would just quit.  I now have a Super SERT installed which works much better and the cruise now works like it should.

Contact the folks at FuelMoto and see what they can do for you with a PCIII and a map to suit your mods.  I think you will find that they will sell you a PCIII for close to the same money V&H gets for the Fuel Pak, and it will be more a more capable solution.  Canned maps for things like the PCIII or SERT/SEST will be every bit as close as the V&H "settings" they provide with the Fuel Pak, so if you don't want to mess with dyno tuning at the present time you can still go with the more capable tuning device.

My V & H fuel pack was horrible.  Popping and stalling most of this time.  Now, I am running a Race Tuner--very happy.

BTW,  My fuel pack is hanging from a branch in my tree.  LOL

I have the fuel PAC because I was getting a lot of throttle hesitation.  Installed the fuel PAC and problem was solved.  I'm also running the 4" Rinehart Slip ons, the V&H X-Pipe and the SERT tuner.  Very happy with my results.
