Put both CVOs on the dyno
« on: October 14, 2012, 04:20:56 PM »

Rode into Thunder Beach on Thursday with my 06 SEUC and the misses new 13 SERK.  Dyno runs were $50, dyno tune $200.

I put my 06 SEUC on first.  I just put a PCV retrofit with a canned tune on.  The bike is all stock except for the tuner, 9800 miles on the odometer.

93 degrees / 30.69 in-Hg / 27% humidity:  81.50 hp / 88.22 tq

Im pretty happy with those numbers, I think that intake, exhaust, and tuning would easily put both those numbers in the 90s.

The tuner looked at the dyno sheet and told me that he couldnt tune it any better than what it is now.  Not to shabby for a canned tune.

The 13 SERK is bone stock and had 400 miles on the odometer.

Same conditions:  84.53 hp / 103.28 tq.

The bike runs slightly lean abouve 3500 rpm.  The misses doesnt want any mods, so I think I will just put a tuner on it to run cooler and even out the a/f ratio.

I was pretty pleased with both runs, and really pleased that I didnt cough up $200 for a dyno tune..

I feel like I have gotten a pretty good touring machine with my RGC and it's 103ci and the stage IV motor. It is all HD from HDHD, and all motor work was done @ HDHD and no issues and plenty of power w/117hp and 111tq on the dyno tune (at HDHD as well) which made her run smooth with power exploding at 3800 RPM and pulls well past 6000 RPM with a full load and 2 up.

The 103 on the eariler CVO's was a great motor. It will produce numbers in the 100's with just an intake, exhaust and a GOOD TUNE!!!! My 04 SEEG with those done was 104/105. I would that motor over my 110's anyday!!!!!

Be Safe
