Bitubo vs. HD Premium/CVO Shocks?
« on: October 23, 2012, 07:36:15 PM »

2011 Street Glide w/HD Premium rear shocks (stock on CVO's) & Traxxion Dynamics AK-20 up front.

Any benefit in swapping the HD Premium rear shocks for Bitubos? Are the Bitubos harsh, or comfortable?

I would be getting the shorter Street Glide length, same as the HD premiums that I have now.

Thanks

Have ridden all these.  The HD shock was comparable in ride and ride control to a Progressive 440.  Not as good as the Bitubo.

Cool, glad someone has experienced both the HD Premiums, and the Bitubos.

When you say the HD Premiums are not as good as the Bitubos,  could you please compare & contrast the differences between these two?

Thanks

Less abrupt when approaching full travel.  Feels like back wheel is on the ground more with the bitubos.

Works shocks are the way to go.  The cartridge insert for the front end, and  the billet dual spring rear shocks work awesome. Cant believe the difference, it feels like going from a rough riding pick up truck  to a very smooth riding car.  Anything ells is a waste of $$$.

I have not tried the H-D Premium shocks but I do know there is a better system out there that is cheaper priced than Bitubo and gives a great ride that can be custom built to your weight and riding style. That is Suspension Technologies USA shocks.
I have the H-D premium double cartridge front suspension and it definitely is an improvement over stock forks.
