LED Lights For 2004 SEEG
« on: June 10, 2013, 03:59:23 PM »

Would anybody out there be able to direct me to the thread that addresses how to convert my stock lighting system over to LED?  My system includes the standard CVO set-up front and back plus chopped tour pack with the spoiler lighting.  Much obliged.

Many threads on the many different light options.  You might as well let it be fed again here as a single source for your need.

You talking headlight, brake light, signals, dash lights or all the above?

Harley sells an LED brake light.  Comes in either red or smoked lens so you can install to taste.  Harley and Kuryakyn have the commonly available headlights.  Though the Kuryakyn light can be had cheaper than from them if you'll search for Truck Lite (maybe Truk Lite, not sure).  That company is the OE for the Kury light.

There are simple LED bulb direct replacements for the 1156 rear tail lights and the 1157 front running light/turn signal bulbs.  I personally prefer the pancake type LED pads that come from Custom Dynamics or Ride Time Technologies (same lights but sometimes cheaper at one place or the other).  Example here: http://www.ridetimetechnology.com/bullet_lights.htm

If you go with LED bulbs in the corners you'll need a load equalizer.  I like the Badlands pieces.

Basic unit here:  http://www.ridetimetechnology.com/badlands_le3.htm

But I like this one better.  It give you more illumination in the rear by not only functioning as an equalizer but also makes the rear tail lights come on as brake lights also.  http://www.ridetimetechnology.com/badlands_ill.htm

Glad to help.  All the things you're considering are simple swaps too.  All done together is just a one beer job. That means you can start it about dusk one night and still be good to go riding and check out what you've gained :2vrolijk_21: .
