Well, this is it.............that magical time of year for me and the OL. We're hittin' the highway early Thursday morning headed to Robbinsville, NC. Last year we stayed at the Two Wheel Inn, and we liked it so much that we've booked again this year. 4 whole days of riding. I simply cannot wait.
Picked up the CUSE from Rocket HD in Huntsville today. Had the front rocker box leak fixed, the front motor mount replaced, and the right front brake rotor replaced since the chrome was peeling. All was well during the 40 mile ride home. Had I not gotten very OCD and looked under the bike, I might have missed the motor mount. It had big chunks hanging down. The bike feels much smoother now. As for the paint, saddlebag lowers and front fender are enroute. Once they come in, Rocket HD will re-evaluate and order the remaining striped parts. The milky paint is very noticable to me on the saddlebag lowers, side covers, outer fairing, front fender and fuel tank. The service manager and warranty tech don't see the problem. Not sure how they CAN'T see it. It is right in front of them. Anyway, I have a knack for being a HUGE PITA, and I will not quit until I get new paint at HD's expense. Its that simple. In the meantime, I'll continue to ride the CUSE every chance I get.
Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you this weekend in the Smokies. One more working day and a wake-up..............can't wait! [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif]
