WOW!!! Glad you survived that Okay. No intention of Hijacking the thread however related, Have you ever thought of running "Deer-Whistles"? There may be a lot of naysayers on them but I had a deer come running up to the edge of the highway while in my car that has them on and it just stopped cold in it's tracks and watched me pass. Went and bought the same ones for my bike right after that. I try to be somewhere I wish to stay by the time evening rolls around because of the critters and maybe my reliance on such devices is misplaced but it gives me a little piece of mind anyway. great riding job, glad your OK

My buddies in Central Texas run the deer whistles and they swear by them.

Another buddy teaches Advanced Motorcycle riding in Austin. He says weather it's a dog, deer or large critter, hitting the throttle and riding throught it. is your best chance of not going down. His comment was that Panic stops without impact are diffuclt to control, much less adding a heavy impact to a panic stop.

Glad to hear you were not hurt.  Parts on the bike can be replaced.

Up here we have to wait at stoplights for the deer to finish crossing!  I gave up a majority of the night riding years ago after all the deer accidents.

Glad to see that you came through on the better side of the ordeal!

Thank you for all the well wishes. The damage came to over $13K to get her back to new. Definitely thankful to have come out the other side uninjured. In the meantime....LET THE MILES COMMENCE!!
