« on: December 20, 2012, 07:44:36 PM »

Hey guys got question for the group. Local dealer has an 07 with 17000 miles on it. Everything looks factory with no add ons. They are wanting $28,000 for it.  She blue books for a little over 22,000. Is this dealer out of their minds here? Thanks for the input

Probably won't get many in this group to disagree with that assessment!  I've never minded paying top dollar for something low mileage and clean, but they're a good $4K north of where they need to be starting out on that bike, IMO.

Also, the '07 110's were baaaaad for head gasket problems.  Has the recall work been done on it?

Paid 19,000 on my 07 in 2011 with 6,000 on the clock very clean.
Didn't know about the headgasket problems though. Do you know when the recall was and around what milage they can fail? Of course the dealer would not mention any of that. Don't know if mine was recalled or not :nixweiss:

I would say yes, private guy here in Canada is looking for $27.5 for his with 2600 miles. Canadian prices are always HIGHER. Another one is $19K and 24,000 miles.

Rear cylinder head gasket would allow oil to leak between head & cylinder on right side about 5 o'clock position as you sit on the bike.  Product Program 0905 addressed this issue, but it has expired to the best of my knowledge.  On the H-D USA website you can check the status of any recalls/product programs for you bike by VIN number.  I went on the H-D UK website and could not find such a link.  But your dealer should be able to check on H-D Net for you.  Cheers.
