RSD Seats
« on: December 27, 2012, 04:14:17 AM »

Does anyone have an RSD seat on their touring bike, been looking at the al black Enzo.  I am wondering about comfort, looks and quality of their seats.

I was totally unaware that Roland Sands sold seats. I can't recall anyone on this site saying they bought a RSD seat. I could not find a seat called "Enzo" on the RSD website. They did have a 2-up bagger seat but the description says it is made by MUSTANG. Maybe I'm missing something! Anyone got more info.

Well after looking at the link you provided, I can truthfully say, thats the first time I have seen the Enzo seat. I didn't like the looks of it. The passenger part of the seat for sure did not "look" comfortable. If you like it thats all that matters. Maybe someone will chime in if they have any info or are using the RSD seats.

Happy New Year. Regarding seats. I went to a local upholster with my bike, and he customized my stock seat( 09SEUC ) just for my butt and short inseam 30". After he contured it (I left the bike down there so I could see if I liked it before I picked it up.) First test sitting it was still a little too wide at the front so he made an adjustment and I came back. He installed a gel pad reinstalled the heater and the price was around $450.00. I know there are a lot of great seats out there, but for that kind of money I have one that was contured just for me probably for a lot less money than a new seat that I would be hoping would feel good. Any competent upholstery shop can do this. Ride Safe. CAHDBIKER

I would love to do this but i am over in Germany, and custom work like this is hard to find and much more expensive than in the good old US.  The stock seat is ok, but over any lengthly trips, it sucks.

This is the seat I am speaking of:

I agree with sharprdking........not too impressed with the looks of it but thats JMO......and for $450 even like it less.

I'd look for a bike show in your area where the seat will be displayed so that you can try it out or a least see it in person before you buy it, it looks to be narrow so it may be comfy for a shorter fella.
