Jackpot Dyno Tuned Mufflers
« on: December 17, 2012, 09:16:25 PM »

Anyone running Jackpot dyno tuned mufflers with 2-1-2 exhaust ? how do they sound compared to others like Rinehart's ?
Been reading a lot of good about them, just want a good deep sound in a slashcut but not to loud. Been running Full Sac 2" cores but not crazy about sound lower RPM sound.

I'm running this system... (not the slash cuts)  http://www.jackpotmufflers.com/21.htm

The Jackpot complete system - Fuel Moto 2 into 1 header and the Jackpot mufflers as shown in the link.

Nice deep sound...not as loud as Rineharts.

What's the problem...too loud? To soft? Not deep enough?

Running the Fuelmoto ceramic coated head pipe, and the Jackpot Pro Tour on my 12 CVO road glide.  About the same volume as a Rineheart, a little different tone.  I like them now.

I hated them the first 1000 to 1500 miles.  To raspy and harsh, but they mellowed out alot.  Good sound now.  Nice torque curve with no real dips or peaks.

they sound great at idle, not deep enough in mid range, great at upper rpm's
tried removing some insulation, helped some but still not happy, i guess everyone has different taste.
I am running the Fuel Moto header pipe and am really happy with the quality, I think there mufflers would be the same.

Been very pleased with the Jackpot 2-1-2 headpipe. Just installed one with a set of CFR's on buddies 13 SERG last weekend and it sounds really good and still has a good strong bottom end in it

Was it dyno tuned? Got a copy of the tune?

Yes it was tuned after the install by a local tuner. Give me a bit to figure out how and I'll post the finished run

There you go. Jackpot 2-1-2 headpipe and CFR. The only difference between the baseline and finished is tune. Pipes were already installed before the baseline run was made. These are 2nd design CFR's but they still show the dip in torque that was seen in first design just not as bad. Headpipe covering that dip is my first guess, but I am no expert by any means

I ran the Jackpots for a year with the catless headpipe on the 110", then went back to the Rinehart Extreme True Duals for more flow and sound. The Jackpots were to restrictive for my 124" build but the tone was pretty good.
