Another oil question
« on: January 01, 2013, 09:03:34 PM »

I have been doing a lot of research on oil and fluids. Please don't beat up on me too bad on this as I am not super mechanically inclined or knowledgeable on technical specifications. I want to ask these questions here as I find the HD forums to get off base real quick

I just bought a 2013 cvo ultra classic. I want to change from the syn3 fluids in all holes.

My last bike was a non cvo 2009 ultra classic that I bought used. I found neutral hard to find and I also heard too much of a clunking sound when shifting. I did not change anything as I knew it was a temporary bike

So on my new bike I want to be able to find neutral easier and not have that loud clunking sound when shifting. Of course I want great protection as well.

After my research my thoughts are to use the Mobil1 Vtwin 20w50 engine oil or the redline 20w50

In the trans I am leaning towards redline heavy shockproof

In the primary the redline MTL

For the experts and knowledgeable people hear do you think these products will accomplish my goals? If not, please explain why and what you would recommend

Thanks for the time

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the help

I just started another thread asking about the oil filter now.

What would you recommend?
