Since you got rid of the tour pak and amp, what did you do with the wiring so that the radio works.  I bought an amp also but having difficulty figuring out the wiring.  Thanks in advance.

The bike looks great.

Shucks, I am thinking of doing that to mine just so I will be able to wax more of the rear fender.    ::)

I also did a detachable TP on my 2010 SEUC. I elected to eliminate the rear amp and went with a more powerful amp from Biketronics that fit in the fairing. I didn't want to lose the space in the saddlebag since when the TP is off, the rear amp is useless.

I went with the HD Layback plate bracket which looks far nicer than the stock bracket whether the TP is on or off. I didn't like the look of the plate underneath since it covers half the CVO emblem on the fender. Looks halfa**ed IMO.

Awesome. Just got a 2013 Typhoon Maroon SEUC.

If you don't mind, a few questions. What did dealer do with all wiring...my dealer said it couldn't be done with a clean look, said the tour pac led wires are to bulky to put under seat.
What did they do with all of the wiring?
Finally, what was the cost for the whole thing?

Thanks much. Maybe I need to ride to Irvine HD.

Teemo - wrt my Mod there are 4 cables that need to be disconnected:  2 x speaker wires, 1 x pillion intercom and 1 x "master" cable.  All of which can fit under the seat very comfortably - in front of the back rest bracket.  The 2nd part of the mod is the replacement of the TP bracket with a quick release bracket which makes the removal and fitting of the TP a simple 2 minute job.  The 3rd part is the relocation of the amp - two options: pannier or fairing.  4th and last part of the Mod is the fitment of an AM / FM antenna in the fairing.
All up it required approx 20 hours of labour by my dealer - not a cheap mod. :o

the best person to answer your questions is Jim "HD-DUDE"the cost, it all depends on what extras you select????? (re-use amp?, new amp?, new speakers? new lights, etc)
Jim dialed me in...I did mine myself, it took me about 8hrs....that is on my 2006...

I am posting my reply from a private email I just received from a HD Service Tech. This might help some others. (Service Tech shall remain nameless)

I was reading your thread on the CVO forum and was wondering if you notched out the top of the bag to get the amp wire in it or drilled a hole?
There is already an exiting hole/notch the wiring was ran through. No drilling required.

Did you make the harness quick disconnect to remove the saddlebag or just leave it so the bag cant be removed?
All connections were made detachable including the amplifier which was moved to the saddle bag as well......

:) Thanks for the photos I think I'll do the same thing this spring. I did my 2010 ultra classic myself but didn't have to deal with the amp. A lot of options have been posted about the amp though. You don't see very many that color. The 2013 limited is very close though.
