New Bars and Hydraulic clutch
« on: January 19, 2013, 08:00:27 AM »

Ok seems my difficulties in finding bars keeps getting more and more complicated.

Searching this site I see the new bars on the RK are 1 1/4 at the clamp( I asked my dealer they said 1") I have no problem having the risers changed out but would not mind finding a true 1 1/4 bar. I was going to go with the Wild1 chubby's but they do not make a true 1 1/4

Seems like the next issue is finding a replacement Hydraulic clutch cable. Does any one have a source for a replacement cable?

I knew the 13 Road Glide bars had gone to a full 1 1/4.  Did not realize the CVO Kings did too.  Looks like I will have to get different risers then if I go to the Yaffee OEM monkey bars in 14" I am thinking about.

For my 12 CVO Road Glide the my dealer found some one to make a black hyd clutch cable.

Seems it would be much easier to find some one who makes the braided silver over the braided black my Road glide is.

Sorry I do not have a source but will ask my dealer when I get home end of the month.

He has already changed out some 13 CVO road glide bars.

You might want to check out CARLINI BARS   I have 16 inch EVIL APES on mine 1 1/4 there non-stepped

non-stepped means there 1 1/4 all the way as far as clutch line I  had all my cables changed to Diamondbacks

Greyghost

I have looked at the carlini and to get the TBW they only do a reduced clamp area

The issue with the hydraulic clutch cable is it seems Harley changed the design on the 2013 cable

Gator Mike

Thanks for the information. Do you have the part number for the fitting from Drag? Also what length cable did you get from Magnum?

Any close up pictures of the side trans?

Sorry do not have any part numbers my dealer ordered everything for me Magnum told them about the adapter that drag sells If you have good dealer where you live they should be able to take care of it I know when they sent measurements to magnum they went off the cable lengths in the Harley parts book for the Harley "16 apes that Harley sells
