I almost went with the anniversary model. The dealers closest to me (300 miles) with the bike wanted $8,000 OVER msrp! Are you kidding me! I found one on the floor with a price UNDER msrp, but it was 1,000 miles one way to pick it up. Plus I couldn't get what I needed out of my trades.

Still waiting for my anniversary model to be built and shipped this spring.  My local (satellite) dealer is charging me MSRP plus the usual setup fees.  He had to defend that price to the main dealership... who wanted to tack on another $5k because other customers were supposedly willing to pay that much more.

I also heard that some dealers were horsetrading amongst themselves at the dealer show for the limited CVOs, effectively raising the dealer cost when they obtain additional CVOs by paying a premium to other dealers for their MoCo allottment.  That would explain why some dealers jack up there prices so much over MSRP... supply and demand.

Just got an email from my dealer saying they found me one.  Now i have to wait till June to pick it up.  Can not wait, already ordering parts to put on.

I put one on...I saw one on the ferry all duct-taped up 'cause the tether broke. It's a cheap piece of 'insurance'!
