Power Vision Auto Tune Basic Feature???
« on: January 25, 2013, 11:16:16 AM »

I have pretty much decided on the PV-2 and will be purchasing one from Fuel Moto around the end of February (save some more cash up while the weather is bad). I have a few questions for those of you who have used the Basic Auto Tune feature:

1) Can you put the device in a saddlebag/sissybar bag while going for the tuning ride? I would prefer not to put the mount on the handlebar if possible.

2) What type of riding needs to be done when using the Auto Tune feature- basically everything, a lot of starting/stopping, highway, ect?

3) After importing the "tweaked" tune after the auto tune session/ride did you notice a difference in anything (less popping on decel, better fuel economy, ect)?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

1) Yes
2) the more variety of rpms, speed, gear and loads, the better the tuning result
3) Yes, the more your starting map is off of the "optimum" the more noticeable the improvement from the autotuning session

Hopefully the intial map loaded by fuel moto will be very good and won't need much tuning.

Good questions. I installed a preloaded Fuelmoto map back in December when I purchased my PV but the weather is crap so I haven't used the auto tune feature yet. I definitely will come spring though so thanks!  :2vrolijk_21:
